Csuite women who’ve played sport (myself included) learn serious business skills from the outset that include strategy, planning (and implementation!) resource allocation, competitor analysis, self-awareness and self-leadership, and in professional or semiprofessional sports, the importance of commercial partners and networks.
Re. C-suite women I'd add to Wendy's comment previously that knowing the power of the team is a big one here (even for those in individual pursuits) - their understanding of the many cogs it takes to work the machine. The more sceptical part of me considers it's because they have a tendency to exhibit more typically male attributes e.g. competitive, focused.
RTO policies are short-sighted and don't make sense. Anyone who can get a better deal will leave and junior staff will slog it out because they have no choice. Plus, it's ironic that Amazon want us to shop online but not work online.
Re the proportion of women in the C-suite that did competitive sports, I'd say that the same qualities that make someone succeed in sports, help people succeed in business. Single minded focus, and the willingness & discipline to sacrifice their personal life to achieve a goal.

The latter part was what I was worried about (and they’re rewarded for it). Good to hear your views.
